If you ever need a hotel by SFO airport, stay at the Bay Landing Hotel. I stayed there on a Sat night for $79 plus tax through booking.com. Big room with king-size bed, microwave, mini-fridge, and bay view. I was really surprised by the price and quality.
It's a big clean hotel right on the bay. You can run along the bay in the morning. Eat the free breakfast buffet with make-your-own waffles and hard-boiled eggs. Use the free wifi internet. Park for free. Use the airport shuttle for free. Watch the free HBO.
